Numerical Investigation on the Droplet Dispersion inside a Bus and the Infection Risk Prediction

COVID-19 can be easily transmitted to passengers by inhaling exhaled droplets from the infected person in a bus. Therefore, studying droplet dispersion would provide further insight into mechanism of virus transmission and predict risk infection among on In this research, bus equipped with air-conditioning was employed as research object. To determine path, concentration distribution, escape time droplets, computational fluid dynamic (CFD) applied simulate flow field droplets’ dispersion. The effect air supply rate, location vents, persons were discussed. Based distribution cabin calculated CFD, superposition method used number particles inhaled every individual passenger over four-hour journey.
